Trying to decide which route i want to go?

I already have a set of black smoked headlights. I can't decide if i want to use them. Every pic i see looks like the car is wearing blackout headlight covers...and to be honest i hate those.

I kinda like the contrast of clear lenses against a black car.

So i dunno what to do. My OEM lenses are yellow and need to go. I'm debating getting some OEM lights to replace them as i'd rather stay with the stock clean look.

I think you already answered your own question. Go with the clears or stock. :nice:

Yeah but i think i'm the kind that needs to see it to fully convince myself otherwise i'll second guess and say "Hmm, maybe i should toss em on and i'll like them??"

Eh, car needs a transmission and rear installed first.

I'd say go with clear OEM-style or ultra-clear lenses. Smoked lenses LOOK cool on a black car, but they SUCK for light output. I mean, if your headlight lenses are yellowed out like mine, the smoked lenses are going to be about that bad to start with and are only going to get worse as they age. :notnice:

I like the smoked lenses on my dsg notch... but at the same time, if I hadn't already cut them up to put HIDs in them I would have already gone back to diamond clears.

either way it'll look good... i just kinda hate how much the smoked lenses killed my light output.

its not an lx but it has smoked head lights and fog light on my cobra

Not that the above doesn't look good, but I guess I don't get the logic behind buying lenses that require higher-output bulbs just to the light output of stock headlamps with fresh OEM lenses.

On a track car or show car, that's one thing, but on a DD or something you ever plan to drive at night anytime, it sounds kinda like a bad idea. That's a little bit like wearing a baseball cap backwards and then using your hand to shield your eyes from the sun.
