hey guys i think ive decided on mufflers.. i think i will run pipe of my long tubes as far back as i can and run them into dynomax race bullets... this should sound nice irght? anyone ever here dynomax race bullets with dumps? what should i expect .. i want it loud loud it wwont sound liek crap will it? wil the e cam have a noticable lump?
thanks alot..
p.s an exhaust liek that wont hurt performance will it?

i have thought about using them too. i think there was a thread about them a month or so ago, which piqued my interest. so ill subscribe and bump. im curious too.

There was a drag car at the strip one time that had them with no dumps, just stopped under the car, and it was AWFUL loud at wot. I'm just to the point where I get sick of listening to my car drone all the time, so I go drive my Focus. But again, this was an all out drag car, and it was loud. My opinion, I'd go with a real muffler if you want to run dumps, cuz my car is REAL loud with them. And yes, depending on where the leak is, it can seriously hurt performance.

ha sorry man .. i didnt mean exhaust leik.. hahah that was jstua mispelling .. i meant exhaust like that.... haha running 2 1?2 inch pipes into bullets with no tails wont hurt performance right?

ECU5.0 - Do you think it would sound less like a truck with an x-pipe instead of your h-pipe? I'm installing an x-pipe this weekend and was thinking about getting the Bullets because I heard x-pipes sound better with a non-chambered muffler. Also for those running Bullets, how did you install them onto your midpipe? If an exhaust shop did it, how much did it cost?

i ran mine with just the stock catted H-pipe and no dumps and it was loud as all balls.................just had dads buddy weld alum 2 1/2 tube on it (about 3 inches)then flare it with the hangers attached..... did a nice job all i did was give him a 20 dollar tip! but they were all hell loud............. if you want to get into tons of races and have tons of people look at you then they are for you. I still have mine hanging in the shed for later...............

I had 3" race bullets bolted directly to my longtubes and it sounded awesome, I also have the E-303 cam, and you can definitely tell the cam lopes with these mufflers. Now I have a 2 and 1/2 off road h-pipe with Dynomax super turbos dumped under the car and it don't sound so good, too quiet, but hey, I like the noise of loud mufflers so I am going back to my Bullets soon, just as soon as I take the car the shop and get my rear end fixed, while they have it, I am putting the bullets back on, I don't have a radio in the car right now, so I might as well enjoy the sweet sound of 5.0 music!?

it would probably be a much different sound. cant say that ive ever heard a 5.0 with an xpipe in person though. they are definetly loud. they dont sound so much like a truck, but more like nascar

i got them on my stock stang and they are pretty loud people tell me i have one of the best soundin stangs in town which is pretty cool considerin everyone has o/r pipes with flows i think if you run longtubes and an x you will have a crazy exhaust system
