Just curious if anyone has hidden their shakers as I have a polished cobra intake and they look like crap just sitting their on the clip right in plain view? Curious of any ideas to hide or cover them?
Thanks
Thanks
THAT IS SWWET, EXACTLY what I was looking for!Daggar said:

Custome vanity plate?jrichker said:The fix is a custom vanity plate for the top of the intake. Create the proper shape and you could hide the salt & pper shakers under it.
Yeah that is what I am going to doDMAN302 said:I just tucked them down behind the intake..out of sight and cheapest option.
I am talking about the cover plate that hides the center bolts on the upper intake. The stock Mustang one says 5.0 HO, the Explorer plate says Explorer.$uperstang said:Custome vanity plate?
Yeah, that’s kind of what I’m gathering at this point. I’ve looked all over this engine bay based on diagrams people have posted. I was just hoping maybe someone had a setup similar and could point some stuff out.
Normally that’s correct. But we’re you able to identify them as such in my engine bay?Not from those photos.
The "salt-and-pepper shakers" are the two plugs from the injector harness. Find thw wiring to any fuel injector and follow it back to the rear of the intake. There were two connectors back there that are white and black. Sometimes there is an extension harness

A new trend (since this is a 14 year old thread) is to delete them and use a modern plug, or splice them direct. Hard to see in your pics.
Also, O2 sensor harness is located pass side fender under where the MAF is located. Thermactor solenoids are on the pass side rear fender apron area.
Based on these pictures, can anyone point out where my salt and pepper shakers might be located (and thermactor and O2 harness). Bought this car modded as is, previous owner passed away.
