Just curious if anyone has hidden their shakers as I have a polished cobra intake and they look like crap just sitting their on the clip right in plain view? Curious of any ideas to hide or cover them?

Thanks

LOL, they are the 2 ugly A S S black and white 10 pin connectors sitting at the back of the intake! and are attached to a clip.

How about a set of these? You could modify them to fit.

I think they'd look GREAT sitting next to your polished intake!

Short of lengthening the wires, or removing the connectors off of the clip and tucking it under the rear of a strut tower brace I don't think you've got too many options......

The fix is a custom vanity plate for the top of the intake. Create the proper shape and you could hide the salt & pper shakers under it.

I am talking about the cover plate that hides the center bolts on the upper intake. The stock Mustang one says 5.0 HO, the Explorer plate says Explorer.
Michael Yount has one for his 5.0 engined Volvo that says Volvo on it...

Based on these pictures, can anyone point out where my salt and pepper shakers might be located (and thermactor and O2 harness). Bought this car modded as is, previous owner passed away.

Not from those photos.

The "salt-and-pepper shakers" are the two plugs from the injector harness. Find thw wiring to any fuel injector and follow it back to the rear of the intake. There were two connectors back there that are white and black. Sometimes there is an extension harness

A new trend (since this is a 14 year old thread) is to delete them and use a modern plug, or splice them direct. Hard to see in your pics.

Also, O2 sensor harness is located pass side fender under where the MAF is located. Thermactor solenoids are on the pass side rear fender apron area.

Circled in yellow is where they are normally located.

CUAviator - looks like someone has a custom harness or someone eliminated the connectors, likely cutting and splicing the wires together directly.

Yeah, that’s kind of what I’m gathering at this point. I’ve looked all over this engine bay based on diagrams people have posted. I was just hoping maybe someone had a setup similar and could point some stuff out.

Normally that’s correct. But we’re you able to identify them as such in my engine bay?
As for the S&P shakers, I’ll keep looking. But I don’t think I have them. Gone the way of the EGR.

No, I am unable to see them in the photos youbprovided, but I don’t feel the angles offer the best view into the areas they would be.

If your car still has the stock intake on it, these connectors are hung on a plastic clip that is attached to the portion of the intake behind the throttle body, facing the firewall.
