Anyone in Sacramento?

im in Sac, and frequent both the raceway, and sunrise. Does anyone know why the Sac threads die so quickly?

Not a lot of norcal people here :( they seem to stick to a more norcal oriented forum. This wasn't the case 2-3 years ago.... then again the norcal stang scene has tremendosly gone dead over the past year.

CaliforniaFords is larger than all other local domestic forums combined. There have been no fewer than two dozen highly similar websites made over the years, but all their members constantly monitor CaliforniaFords and are registered there anyways. It may not be much, but its all we got around here.

Congrats on the your new purchase!

I'm in South Sac. I've been up to Sunrise a couple of times this Summer, just kinda passin' through. I drive the dark blue '88 convertible LX with the full Saleen treatment.

For local forums there's SacStangs.com. They have a pretty active forum and the members are always trying to organize something for the weekends.

Anyone here from sacramento?? i live down in Granite Bay but i was wondering if anyone around here ever goes to sac raceway or goes cruising on sunrise. I go to sunrise alot and make fun of all the ricers because there is an unhealthy amount of them. :D
if it is the sunrise i am thinking about then i know where you are talking. is it in fair oaks? my girlfriend is from fair oaks and every time i was up visiting every weekend there would be TONS of street racing. they have signs all over the place about street racing. she lives really close to sunrise and you could hear them all night long. she moved down to so cal though, so no more sunrise cruises. we used to cruise sunrise weekend nights in her pontiac grand am. :P checkin out all the cars and tons of ricers.

Im not sure if its in fair oaks, but usually alot of the people just meet at the krispy kream to show off all their cars. Its pretty fun if you get no cops and about 200-250 cars out there. AND THE SOUNDSTREAM VAN! OMG that thing has like 9, 15" subs in the van with 6 amps in the back. HOLY **** that thing is loud.

Are they up there often? I would make the drive just to check out their van.

I wish dude. the only time i ever saw it was when all the cops were away from Krispy Kream. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN, there were cars from every where. You name the car and it was there. but anyways that was the only time I had ever seen that van. I wish i knew where they were all the time.

I'm in Wilton. I post frequently on SacStangs as well. I think by going out to Sac Raceway on Wednesdays, Fridays and Grudge Night Saturdays is a great way to network with other Mustang owners. If you go strictly by what certain websites say you'll never see the light of day in some cases. I have met alot of really cool people out at the track and at speed shops in the Sacramento area.
