Well from what I read.... The 1996 formula is paint code LF. This paint is available only through a Ford Dealership. Even then, you will have to provide proof of ownership of a 1996 Mystic Cobra and proof of damage. Then they will provide you with just enough paint to repair the damaged area.

...Not 100% on all that, but why not just call you local dealership and ask? Have you bothered to check any of the "Mystic" specific web sites?

We'll I have a guy that does my body work that is really good, hoever he works under the table and isnt a registered body shop. So I was hoping I would just be able to buy a half a pint give the paint to him so he can paint the front bumper to get rid of the chips in it.

the paint is made by B.A.S.F and you could got to a bodyshop supply store
and ask for it.

This may be a SWAG, but if the area to touch up is small enough one of the "color shifting" paints from Duplicolor might work in a pinch http://www.duplicolor.com/products/mirage.html

The area that has to be painted is about 2 inches around from being burnt threw with a buffer. I figured I would paint the front bumper while I was at it to make the car perfect. Thanks for showin me that however I would prolly end up looking like it was spray painted with that. I need to get it professinal painted with it being a mystic and all to help up the value. I am getting conflicting reports, some say you have to go threw alot to try and get it, and others say that you can just stop in at any auto paint store that is basf paints and they will make it for you right there. I'm gonna go out tomorrow and find out. Thanks!

Please stop back in here and let us know what they say at the paint shop. Then we can clear the air as to how one goes about acquiring this paint.
