Anyone know how to pull codes out a 88 Buick Regal? Same as ours?

Im guessing due to the age they have OBD 1,

But Im in a hurry and I dont have a GM Scan tool handy and I need to pull the codes out of one fast,

Anyone know if you can do the same as ours with a jumpercable?

Any websites would be great,

under the dash you'll find the data link connector, using a paperclip ground the a and b terminals together and then turn key to on possition watch check eng light count flashes for your code. the first is going to be code 12 because the car is not running everything after that is your guide to your problems.
