Anyone know official date of 06 orders

I know most dealers have a song and a dance when you go to order an 06, but when can you go into the dealer and pick up an 06 brochure and officially order one.

You could submit an order and get a VOC and DORA the first week of June for the '06 Mustang. This would be a "clean and unscheduled" status.

I ordered my '06 GT 'vert on June 8.

I ordered mine first of June. Robot lady says my car has been serialized and is waiting for a build date.

I ordered mine June 10, got an order number, and priority but nothing til they start the 06 production in august.

Only thing I wish is that they had 'offical' pics of the wheel opitions, I'm hoping the base wheel still stays the bullitt ones as they don't have pics of the 18s yet.

my dealer guy told me that Ford might start the 06 line two weeks earlier than the Aug. 8th date we have heard, I guess its just a wait and see, since no one really knows what Ford is up too.

He also says approx. 109,000 05s ordered will not get built and will have to be reodered as 06s

109,000? hell thats going to take most of the 06 production run if the 06 run goes like the 05s....so now what all of us are going to have to wait til 07? Maybe they should think about adding another shift to the line

hey guys... when you say "He also says approx. 109,000 05s ordered will not get built and will have to be reodered as 06s" this does not mean that the 05 orders automatically transfer over to 06's, infact it is the dealers obligation to re-order the remaining 05 orders as 06's. this would be why im kinda pissed at my dealer... they didnt know they could order 06's untill i told them they could.. never thought i would be showing my dealer about their own product but o well.. i was the one who brought in the 06 order form and showed them the new wheel options. lol. they were only a few days late... as in like a week... so w/e im over it. ill get my stang in november/oct. or around then...

One thing I've learned is that the average Ford car salesman does not fully understand the ordering process. They will try to act like they do which results in the spread of misinformation. I also had to tell my salesman that he could put my order in. Now, if I can only teach him what a DORA is and that a DORA is available within a couple days of order submission....

Keep on them about it. The VOC is available the second after they put it in the computer. So, for some reason, they are waiting to actually order your car.

the dealership owner said there waiting for ford to accept the order, they have ordered it, he assured me...i get priority 1 because this is the third vehicle i have bought new from gem city ford in quincy illinois, they wouldnt sell me an 05 gt 5spd sonic blue on the lot for x-plan so i decided to take my business elsewhere, so they offered priority 1 and x-plan if i ordered an 06, so i did, i have a $500 deposit down..
