Panther chassis rear ends won't bolt into a Fox body at all...so that's impossible.
There are two housings. The 8.8 used from 86-1998, and the 8.8 used on the 99-04 Mustangs which is 1.25" wider than the 86-98 housing.
That means, turbo coupes, Mark 7's, Mustangs all used the same housing from 86-98. The Turbo coupe, and 94-98 Sn95 and '93 Cobra's disk brakes ad 0.75" of width to EACH side over the Fox drum setup. The Mark 7's adds 1.25" to each side over the drum setup.
I know that the Turbo T-Bird Coupe rear end is the same width as the FOX. The added width is due to the axles not the housing. I hear that the Mk7 is a 7.5 not 8.8 and is also the same width housing with longer axles make up the added width.
