Just did a headgasket change on a 92 T-bird I just bought last week and forgot to write the order down from the BACK ( good place for it) of the lower intake. Wonderful place to put it, it's impossible to see it back there once the engine's in the car
Thanks Ron, I did a search on AOL but came up with zilch. That head bolt tightening sequence is a bunch of crap. I got to the last step specified by Felpro and tightened one bolt 100 degrees, then checked the torque with my wrench. Final torque was about 60--65 ft-lbs.
Anytime. I have found that google will usually give some pretty decent results. Sometimes you have to go to all the links on several pages but I ususally find what I need rather quickly.
This 3.8's got some nice heads on it,I wish Ford would have made production heads for the 5.0 based on them, but overall it's a bitch to work on. I think if it blows another gasket, it's gonna get a small block or a 351C
