What parts did you use? Pics? Also I will be swapping out the engine for a 00 Cobra. Dont bother telling me its a pain in the ass because I know. Besides the car is paid for and I can afford it. With that in mind should I just use suspension upgrades for a Cobra or GT before I do the swap? What is the difference in the inches when lowering if any of you guys have used GT lowering springs and shocks?

Thanks for your help.

Well i've got the FRPP c class springs with koni red shocks and struts (i had yellows, but sold'em). I think that the GT and cobra are pretty much the same springs but they have a higher spring rate to handle the extra weight of the engine. I would use FRPP, Steeda or Eibach for the springs and for the shocks I would use Koni's or KYG (I think thats the company)

Well, I wont tell you that you cannot change to an 00 Cobra then.

But, YOU CANNOT CHANGE TO AN 00 COBRA!

Damn, a 00 Cobra engine, huh? Straight from Aussie land I assume.

Search the site for springs. You should get plenty of threads to look at.

what he means is you cant swap any 00 cobra engine into any mustang not even a 2001 cobra because they only made 1999svt and 2001 svt and 2003 svt so i would get an 03 cobra engine its the best value fine a 03 cobra thats messed up with a good engine and tranny for about 6g

Hmmm, where did you get it? And would you happen to have pics of it by any chance?

Agree! Hook it up with some pics. Where did you get it? I just wanna know, 'cause if ford didn't make '00 cobras then how could they have an engine and tranny for one, unless its just a '99 engine & tranny and they're trying to pass it off as a '00. So, i'm just curious thats all and if it's all good I might have to look into a '00 cobra engine and tranny for 6K, Oh, and about the link... I was trying to help you out and be a nice guy to a fellow stangnet forum member... I'll take that into concideration next time.

i do remember reading that FRPP had a lot of "00 cobra" engines w/ trannies that they were selling for 6k. im pretty sure i read in there that they are really the engines/trannies used in the 01's(post "fix") but that ford manufactured them in 00 hence the reason they are listed as 00 cobra engines. they are 4.6s not the 5.4s that were put in the R's.... but that would be sweet

yeah so basically callin it an oo cobra engine is correct, but they are the engines that were used in the 01s

someone tell me if thats completely wrong
