anyone made air unduction system using the fog lights openings?

anyone made air induction system using the fog lights openings?

i searched but werent able to find anything,

when i bought my gt it came with busted fog lights, and instead of replacing them i want to make a air induction system that got air into my air box using the fog light opening, havent seen it here

would it have any benefits or am i just wasting my time and money?

good idea i dont know if you would have enuf room to run a hose tho.

There's plenty of room, it's just not worth the trouble.
Won't produce anything much different than a stock air box with a k&n filter with no silencer.
You have to be going pretty fast for the air to be forcing itself through the filter.

wow i like that idea better, would i just be running hose to the rear of the brakes, any pics available of this?

I used to run tubing to cool the front brakes as well, however I was not road racing the car, but I thought it would look cool and it did. Years ago I simply ran flex tube from the fog lamp openings (must remove lamp holders) to my calipers. Over the years they got a little beat up so I just removed them the other day.

if i didnt love how HID fogs look i woulddo it too, but probably will eventually anyhow lots of companies make durable kits that you can put their

goes to the front brakes, rear brakes run cool enough not to worry about it

I've seen both done (sorry no pics of either)... the brake cooling actually worked better than the cold air induction.

Just found this online, thought it was pretty slick, I know the Cobra r's came with a brake cooling system through the fog light holes but I am not sure if it was exactly like this.

that setup that MOB posted is pretty trick, and that agent 47 stuff seems way overpriced.

that stuff is great for a track car, but i could see that stuff getting really beaten up on the street

I've seen turbos set up through the foglights, so you may be able to find CAI type turbo pipe (minus the turbo) that will route air up from the fog light

Probly about as beneficial as putting brake ducts on a street car, more there for the "cool" factor

Ya I mean on terms of hp gain over a standard CAI , absolutely nothing, but of he's looking to be able to say" ya I've got a fog light CAI system " and have something most people don't then it could be kind of cool I guess

true but i was talking more in terms since im considering doing the same thing on my car that isnt ment for the street

If your car is a street car, they will get beat up. The Agent 47 stuff is bad A, but a little pricey. Lowes has tons of different tubing to choose from. Mine got pretty beat up, but I made mine and it was dirt cheap. If I had a road race car like Shaolin...I would do it. What's more practical on the race track, cooling your brakes (HUGE) or fog lights? I think anything that makes a car go faster or stop better is cool!
