Just curious about the area, as my Ex is moving there in a few weeks, and that means Mustanggurl and her brother now have to "vacation" there now. I am curious only for thier well-being & safety.

Well, this also means...NO MORE LAS VEGAS! Bye Elvis!

So Its in Northwest N.M.? (you'll have to pardon this seemingly unknowlegeable East-Coaster on my lack of knowlege about your state!)

then there's fightin words son, don't ever tell a Texan that New Mexico is his state. whwre's that Texas flag smiley when i need it. i'm actually only a little over an hour away from the New Mexico border but i'm in Texas. however with the way the wind blows in West Texas i wouldn't be a bit surprised if we have half the state of New Mexico here from looking at the map they are out in the middle of nowhere, but most resort in New Mexico are

I stand corrected!

well, looks like I'll be winging in late Summer to bring the kids home. Depending on flights and stop-overs, we'll have to investigate a gathering!

C'mon now, Fritz; practice what we preach! As an example, in the case of Dan we should respect our elder!

I do, I do!!! I respect him sooooooooooo much that I have made some nice comfy arrangements for him! It's like a cruise ship on dry land for the elders......nice rooms, personal attendants to see to your every need, personal trainers to help keep you physically fit, three nutritious meals a day, snacks and plenty of activities (from Bingo to horse races to sing-a-longs) to occupy one's time. AND LOTS OF SINGLE (okay, widowed) WOMEN!!!

Very nice BBFCM, very nice.

Yeah NM is gonna be weird. Looking at the pictures she sent us, I can't see another house anywhere near hers. I'm probably gonna get chased by some drug dealer out in the "woods" there, heh no offense to anyone that lives in an area like that...nor am I calling anyone a drug dealer....

No worries, Deanna - the likelihood is that you won't even see a drug dealer (or at least you won't see somebody you know is a drug dealer). Simply, if they're successful, messing with you is potentially bad for their profit margin.

Careful, now. Down here in these parts, the term "coyote" not only defines a wild desert dog; it also could be the slang term for the guy who escorts "undocumented immigrants". Notice that I (with much effort) used the new PC term, rather than calling saying the coyote smuggles in illegal aliens. Fritz, your Senator (ol' Hillary) would be sooooooo proud of me!

We get drug dealers down at the theatre I work at, heh you know who they are when they walk in and pay for food that totals to $6 with a $100 from a wad of money 4 inches thick in their pocket...

Around here, they're usually identifiable as the only guys who actually have their ground-effects plastic and wings painted to color-match the rest of their Hondas.

So, why is this woman moving into the middle of BFE?

Strong job market? Leper colony? Marshall Applewhite retreat?

I always heard BFE as meaning Beyond F***ing Egypt. What's wrong with vegas it is an awesome town but that's my opinion. New Mexico sucks I was so bored there is nothing to do there. So maybe this works out to your benefit and the kids will always want to stay with pops.

Cheapie should start calling her what one of my SNCOs calls his ex: "Estranged b*tch of whom I don't speak." haha

Around home (since I'm not at home) a drug dealer is the guy who sits ont he corner talking to guys who are 50 feet away (spotters, looking for the five-oh) makingnormal conversation, in a neighborhood where no one who doesn't live there or who isn't armed would dare go. OR they are the guys who carry gangster rolls around (I saw them all thetime when I worked on Camp Creek PArkway by the airport.
