I'll be there for sure. I only missed the first one in '95 because I was still in the service and over in Japan. This will be my first year in the 'Stang. I use to take my 72 Duster, but I sold it so I can buy a new house.
I know it's still over 2 months away, but I can't wait to drop the top and get out there. I just hope we don't have a Major Blackout like we did last year.

Anyone going?

Yeah, Ill be there! I got the stang in the garage w/out any insurance on it! Sometimes I can hear her talking to me saying "Drive me Maz, drop the top and drive me!!" It really sux!! What part of D-town you from. Im from downriver!

I'll be there but I dont have a 4.6 sorry , i'm u guys older brother 5.0. If i ever get this stroker motor together i'll be there. Maybe we can meet up and talk or run em'. My cousin has a 98 gt with a few mods. He just got it out the shop ( Livernois Motorsports) getting some uhhh p i stuff. (hint) So see ya there.

I'll be hanging out at 9mile with all the other Mustangs for the 1st time this year. I'm going with a buddy of mine who has a 98 Cobra Convertible, and his brother who has a S/C 95 GT AOD. Hopefully the Weather AND ELECTRICITY will hold up this year. Last year Friday and Saturday I wasn't able to take my Duster because I couldn't get gas for it, that sucked.

Hey Jo_885o I see you a close neighbor to me. You ever go to the Clem or Imperial Lanes for Cruise nights? I use to go all the time, but I'm stuck on afternoons for now so I'm really bummin. Hopefully I'll be able to get back on days SOON, before summers gone.

yeah i'll be there. I felt bad for all the out-of-towners that came last year and then the blackout hit. Should be much better this year even though the police are ridiculously uptight. They need to stop letting non-performance/customized/classic cars on Woodward and that would clean things up significantly.

No I have'nt been there for cruise nights. I usually go cruise on gratiot seeing as though i live right off gratiot and 16 mile (Metro Parkway). Telegraph is a place i cruise sometimes also, its alot of built cars there at the 50's McDonalds, and at the Randazzo's. Tonight i'll be on gratiot in my cousins 98 gt b/c my car is in pieces getting ready for the motor swap. ( I fried the stock block)

Sounds like a plan to me 1996Mutangkid. I'm going to have to take Friday and Saturday night off if I'm still on afternoons. I'll be stopping down at Mustang Alley as well with sinisterblack98 and trick95.

I agree with you totally jokergrin, the cops need to losen up a bit. I too am pissed off about mini vans, Yuppies in their sport utilities, and P.O.S. Foreign cars out there taking up space for people with REAL cars. I guess it's kind of hard to control almost 2 million people though.

Good Old Gratiot Ave. eh Jo_885o. I use to go out there back in the late 80's early 90's. I've been to Telegraph a few times, but not as much as Gratiot. Where are the hot spots on Gratiot? When I went out there it was between 13 mile and 9 mile. And for racing we'd hit the 11 mile service drive and race headed back towards Grosebeck Hwy. and on 6-96. I usually hit Mound road or M-59 and sometimes get a race, but not much. To many Sterling Hgts. Cops. You gotta go to Mt. Clemens, and Imperial lanes at 13 and Gratiot Friday nights is packed. You think you'll have yours ready by Woodward? I'm at 21 and Van Dyke.

P.S. ? for you Jo. My wifes uncle wants to get some work done on his '03 Cobra and he was thinking of taking it to Livernois Motorsports. Who should he talk to there?

Talk to Marty. He'll set you straight. They have 1 hell of a facilty. I'll have everything together hopefully at the end of the month. I'm buying h/c/i friday and should have it installed as soon as i get it. I cruise gratiot from 10 to 13 and theres not much racing going on if ur smart just 60 ft from a light but if u want to race i'll pm u with the location its off gratiot in detroit. When i get my car together we can meet up and go. My mods will be DSS Pro Bullett 308 Trick flow everything and 4:10's to some it up.

Thanks, I'll call him and tell him to talk to Marty.

You wouldn't happen to be talking about Frech Road for street racing are you?! I've been there a LONG time ago though.

So far my car it all stock for now - a K&N, but I ordered Steedda pullies and I'm getting a 4.10 axle built and aluminum D/S here in the next few days. In the future either a BBK or Bassani o/r X pipe and Flowmaster mufflers, and a chip when I get that all done. I'm either going to has Liduio of Livernois burn one for me.

I'm not going to do a whole lot of mods to it. #1 it's a convertible. #2 I'm waiting to see when the BOSS comes back. #3 My wife drives it too. Plus I'm going to be building a new house here real soon so I don't have a lot of $ to be PLAYING around with.

The Dream Cruise is a tradition that started here in Detroit back in 1995. It has since been getting really big. People from out of state drive there Musclecars here to cruise up and down Woodward Ave. It is basically a big muscle car parade that goes on for the whole day. I went 2 years ago and I swear I had a Buzz from all the leaded gasoline. That is the show where they had 3....count em' 3 Cobra R's in a row. They held up the parade and all took off 1 at a time in a row with smoke pouring out of there wheel wells!! I have never been around so much history and muscle all at once in my life. It is really an awesome site. I will go, but not with the stang. Since there is no insurance on it (full coverage rather than fire and theft) I will let it sit and mod it through out the years until she is built up to be a muscle machine!! :nice:
