Anyone running 245/45/17....275/40/17 tire combo?

I found a deal on some used (like new) 245/45/17 front tires and was wondering if anyone is running 245/45/17 fronts and 275/40/17 rears. Are the fronts going to be a taller sidewall than the rears? If you have any pics could you post em up please, id like to see what it looks like before i buy these tires. Thx

They are technically the same side sidewall as the middle number is a percentage of the tread width number and doesn't refer directly to an actual dimension

That's what I roll on. I should also note, that I run 17x8 front wheels and 17x9 rears. IMHO, 17x9 will "stretch" a 245 and a 17x8 will "bulge" a 275. That said, people run them either way with success, so...

What brand/type of tires are these that you're talking about?

What brand/type of tires are these that you're talking about?

That's the main reason i wanted a 245 tire for the front, the 235's i have now seem really "stretched" on a 17x9 rim and looked small imo.The tires im getting this weekend are Dunlops, i forget what kind they are but they aren't too bad for the price 50 bux. Ill just pair them up with a decent set of 275 Dunlops in the rear that look similar.

Sorry I don't have a pic for ya. But I am running that same size tire combo on my '88. They are mounted on '93 Cobra replicas which are 8.5".
perfect fit

Hello, what size wheels are those? I only ever see the deep dish in a 17x10 yours look evenly deep.

This is what he posted back in like 2010 I think: right now i have 17x10's on the back with 285/40's and up front i'm running 17x9's with 245/45's
