I am considering 3.90s as a conpromise for my Crown Plick as opposed to 3.73s and 4.10s.

Thoughts?

3.90's are a good compromise. it would definitely wake the vic up and not be too bad on the highway.

does the crown vic have an electric speedo, or a mech. speedo?

Threw a set at my ride and I love them. Very little diff in revs around town but it really seemed to wake the car up at the track. Check the times in my sig.

In a heavy car like a CV with a 4.6 I would definatly get a gear for it. 3.90 is a perfect comprimise between 4.10 and 3.73.

What kind of 3.90's are you running?
Do they make noise and where they hard/time consuming to install?
Where did you buy them from and how much did you pay?

I got mine from Drive Train Specialists in Detroit,Mi. They are from Motive Gear and don't make noise at all. I had a guy install them and rebuild the trac-loc in an 8.8 he had laying around for $400 Can. DTS sells them for $175.00

I've got 4.10s in my car, but i'm also running a C4, which only has 3 speeds, which results in NO gas mileage and about 3k rpms at 60mph! Then again, i wont be driving cross country in this car, so from stop light to stop light, it's a blast!
