anyone running 87-93 longtubes on there 94-95 car?

I'm running Mac 1 5/8th long tubes for a fox. No problem with them, besides them being a bitch to put on, but thats the case with any long tube. But they don't rub anywhere. I know Joe (Vib) is running 1 3/4" long tubes but I dunno if they are for a fox for not.

I'm not now, but I was running Hooker Super Comp LTs for a fox on my 94 GT. Not too bad of an install, except for the forwardmost bolt on the driver's side (PITA b/c of the A/C)

seriously? i thought you had egr? what size collector?

hey loudpedal--what collector size were the hookers? did they have the ball/socket flange or the old school 3 bolt triangle flange.

i really want to put lt's on and i was under the thought foxes would not fit.

I have BBK 1 5/8 headers on my car and they fit fine but like another post said they are a pain in the ass to install with the motor in the car. I did have a little of a rubbing issue with the clutch fork cover and the driver side header. But a quick pass over the cover with a grinder gave me the clearance I needed to keep them from rattling.

I had some fox BBK's I COULD NOT get them to work. The clutch fork was to much of a issue.. :notnice:

I got some BBK's for 94-95 and they went in smooth as silk. :nice:

They had the triangle flange, and the collector size is 3". I was pretty happy with them; I had heard of people having issues with ground clearance, as well as problems with the steering shaft, but these fit perfect and weren't too low at all.

Well, the LT's I had were used and beat up; I aquired them in a trade, and I found a good deal on the setup I have now ($500 with zero miles on all of it). I do miss the LTs though (gotta love the sound!), and I'll probably switch back later.
