Anyone running a Detroit Truetrac?

It looks very similar to the Torsion diff. I've heard that they don't stand up to slicks but do well for roadracing.

Anyone using a truetrac or had experience with it? It's priced very close to the Auburn Pro and other clutch type differentials and with no clutches to wear out seems like a good deal.

My dad had one in his Willys Wagon, worked well for off-road. He says if he gave more gas or let off the gas while in a turn it would lock up and kind of chunk and throw him around some, hard to explain. I guess it would be like when someone doesn’t know how to drive a stick very well and lurches forward with the tires chirping a few times. This was 20-25 years ago though, I’m sure there have been some improvements.

I put two in my f150 4x4 about two years ago. They have worked great on the beach during the summer and on the roads during the occasional snow that we get in virginia. I intend on putting one in my 68 mustang when the project gets to the driveline stage.
