i really don't feel like going through the install of mounting the battery in the trunk, so would like to mount a small battery in the engine bay. I don't remember who i saw running one of the odyssey 680 battery, but i'm wondering if there were any issues. I ask since the application guide is pretty much for motorcycle and small water craft.
my stang isn't a daily driver, hell its in pieces and on jacks stand for 9 months, but i don't want to get stranded either when i do use it.

Thanks

I run one and the cranking amps are definitely on the low side. Its only left me stranded once and that was on a dyno day of all places! If you keep a charge in it year round you'll be good. If not, then it'll die pretty quickly on you. I try to keep a battery tender on mine when its in storage.

I'd recommend it, just make sure you have a battery tender or something similar to keep it fully charged or you will have problems with it. During the cold months is where you will see the biggest problem with it if you have one as its cold cranking amps are low. Otherwise I've had no issues with it.

could you leave it off the battery for a weekend, week, 2 weeks, a month?
