I botched the HCI install by dropping lifters into the oil pan....After our of magnet serching I gave up and got it towed to shop....they noticed cam bearings were awful so they had to pull the motor and send it to a machin shop, so now I am in debt and they just called anbd said my clutch was shot....I am broke and bought this clutch just for the price, but now I read reviews and am getting scared from the stories.....anyone have any positive or negative experince?

I just replaced my FMS King Cobra clutch with a Hayes Dual Friction one. Much better pedal feel. My King Cobra one lasted less than a year of easy driving before the diaphram went bad. I don't think I'll be using a FMS one again.

Man, that really sucks. That clutch should hold out until you can save enough money to replace it. I ran mine for about 17-20K miles before changing it. The disc was ok, so the pressure plate must have went out  . Anyways, it's a great clutch for the first 5-10,000 miles, but it won't last long. Especially if you drive it hard. I went with a SPEC Stage 2 clutch and it grabs pretty good now after slipping a little for the first 1500 miles.
