Do you have MSD coil packs? How do you like them? Are they any
better than stock? My OEM coil pack are starting to go bad.Is it worth
getting the MSD coil packs or just getting new OEM ones?

My mechanic ran a test on the electrical system and found that my
OEM coil packs are going bad. They have been on the car for over 60K
miles. Also my battery is bad too.Do the MSD coil packs make a better
spark than the OEM ones? I need to know.

what was his "electrical test"? You need to check primary and secondary resistances to see if they are to spec, that tells you if they're going bad. Have you been having misfire problems? If you want I can give you the resistance specs so you can check them yourself... I think running replacement Motorcraft coil packs will be your best bet if your car isn't highly modded

That's what my mechanic did and he found that
they are not in spec and are going bad. I really need to know some info on
the MSD coil packs? Anyone?

Granatelli Motorsports apparently is making replacement ones that have dyno proven added horsepower over stock. Do a web search on Granatelli coil pack. One of the other sites just had a group buy.

This is what I just bought for mine. The "Screamin Demon" coil packs are supposed to be much better than stock.....The set up was worth it for the "bling" factor alone.

They look really nice Gearbanger!
Can you match the Screamin Demon coil packs with MSD sparkplug
wires Gearbanger? Are those coil packs too hot for the MSD sparkplug wires?

I couldn't tell ya. The MSD wires measure in at 8.5mm where the live wires are nearly half an inch thick.

The MSD coils put out approx 40,000 Volts (stock is about 36,000) and from what I understand, the Screamin Demons put out closer to 50,000 Volts.

One set of wires I know would be able to handle it for sure would be a set of be a set of Taylor 409 Pro Race Wires . They're approx 10.4mm and will take pretty much anything you throw at them. They retail for under $100 at Summit.
