Hi
Thinking about using a water/meth system to up my hp and make the car safer.

Anyone here use one?? snow or AIS

Now have 507rwhp on a 347ci with a Vortech V-2 sq. Just ordered a new 7" crank pulley, should give about another 2-3 psi, hopefully worth 20 to 30 more hp.

Iam told I could pickup another 40hp with a system.

I've had a Snow system for about 5 years. There is a lot of good info on tuning and use of these systems over in the supercharger forum on corral.

I use the stock washer fluid reservoir. It holds almost a gallon, not sure exactly but probably 3 to 3.5 quarts. I removed it, drilled a hole in the bottom and installed a bulkhead style fitting that has the push connect style connector for the nylon hose thats used in the kits and sealed it with Household GOOP sealant. I run blue -20 washer fluid with 2 small bottles of yellow HEET added. I don't drive the car much, just the ocassional cruise and at the drag strip and the washer reservoir lasts quite a while, but I also use the fluid to wash the windshield when needed sometimes..lol

Sounds good,,, I think I'll do it. Do you have any kind of safety from Snow or anything in case it doesn't spray? Are you spraying just before the TB?

i've had a snow kit sitting in my closet now for probably 5-6 years now. just haven't gotten around to installing it. i got it cheap and jumped on it knowing it would be the plan later on and I just haven't gotten to the point with all the other mods i want to install it.

You can get the safe injection box from Snow so it backs off timing if the pump goes out or you run out of fluid, but most just relocate the ACT (IAT) sensor to after the nozzle and then have the tune adjusted so the EEC will pull timing if the intake temps get too high.

I still run the '94/5 style intake setup (haven't switched to fox style) and I know there isn't much room between the blower and TB. I have my meth nozzle installed in the 1/8" NPT bung on the blower head unit discharge volute and the ACT sensor just before the TB

I went cheap and bought the AFM Mr. Freeze meth kit. I picked up 2psi and dropped my temp from 170* to 96* on one run. The only problem is the reservoir is a bit small. And finding a place to mount it on our cars is a bit tricky. I put mine in front of the A/C condenser right behind the front bumper. It's pretty stealthy.
