I just finished installing the jba lt headers with matching jba catless h-pipe and now when i get around 1500 to 1800 rpm's it sounds like metal grinding right under the driver side floor pan. Like its literally under my feet or damn near close to it. I already checked the steering rack bolts, the starter, the steering knuckle, and i dont see the headers touching anything. The only thing that i can see is the hanger of the h-pipe is resting up against one of the bolts on the transmission crossmember. Dont know if that would cause that much noise but its the only thing i can find short of taking it to a mechanic and getting raped just for them to look it over. Also if you heard the sound clip of the jba lt headers and h-pipe on jba's website theyre full of ****. My car is so much louder than that, that i almost feel scared to floor for fear of getting pulled over. Well if anyone has any suggestions that i missed or had the same problem let me know. Also car doesnt pull at all so i dont think its the steering rack. thanks

If the h-pipe hanger is touching a crossmember bolt, I would say it's that and/or the headers hitting when you accelerate. I've heard from a couple of folks that the longtubes will hit when you get on it, especially if you are making significantly more power than stock. The hydra mounts Ford uses let the engine rotate enough to hit in this case.

My car is at the shop having JBA long tubes installed, and I also left a set of Steeda HD motor mounts there to be installed along with them for this very reason.

...and you shouldn't be surprised it's louder than a mofo with no cats. What kind of exhaust cans are you running, stock or...?
