Hey all,
I'm looking for someone with experience on how a 302 or 351 Cobra T-Pan fits with a Steeroids rack. I've done research on their webpage - it looks like the big block t-pan has issues that require using washers on the motor mounts - but haven't found anything definite for a small block. I've measured next to my original pan and it's definitely taller where the interference would be, but can't be sure if it's tall enough to cause interference. Block is out of the car getting rebuilt so I don't have any way to take measurements right now.
If I could remember what oil pan 68efivert had, I might have my answer right there, since I know he has Steeroids and a 331 . . .

Thanks in advance,

On the old engine I used a stock oil pan. The new engine will have a t pan but a generic version. The pans look identical in the back and I am sure it will not cause a problem. I have no idea about a Cobra pan. I assume they are the same in the back portion as a stocker or the one I am using.

If it helps, here are a few photos. The t-pan is about 1/2" to 1" deeper in the rear but slightly shallower right before the sump. The rack would come in about halfway through the rear portion, where it seems about 1/2" or 3/4" taller than the old pan. I guess I'll just have to give it a go if no one has tried this exact combo yet . . . or maybe someone has Steeroids with a stock oil pan? I never took any good photos of this area before I yanked the engine, so there's a little bit of guesswork here . . .
