If so, post your entire engine combo and let us know your experience with it so far....Just curious. I know Mootang has one and I saw his combo in his sig.


I may go with this intake on a 347 combo with 185's and custom cam. Not sure yet, just gathering some info for now.

From what ive been researching this is suppose to be a great blower intake.

Ninjacoupe on here runs that manifold with afr 185's and an FTI cam on his 347. He made 390rwhp. It isn't a high end cam, it was made for good torque and that power is under 6000rpm.

Do you know what headers he runs?

WIth My AODE, I may end up having to keep the unequal shorties, tho I know the 1-3/4 longtubes would be better with that combo.

Im still really unsure what type of cam I would use with my setup...I want some good street use, so obviously, low-end tq is more important to me than high HP..

He runs kooks 1 3/4" LT's. 1 5/8" shortys will hurt you. You'll probably end up needing a cam with biased exhaust events to make up for the lack of exhaust flow. Go custom cam and specify exactly what you want. The 2nd time around with a custom FTI cam I was REAL specific with what I wanted (aggressive cam) and i have the p to v clearence to do it.

If moneys an object, just keep your chineese rpm

Money will matter somewhat, but Since my Typhoon is polished, it should get me close to 1/2 of what the RPM 2 costs.

I have heard that there needs to be a good bit of "massaging" to get the ports of the new rpm II and the AFR 185 heads to match up... lets just say I "may" have looked into this.

you may have looked into it but i have had 185's and the rpm 2 and

they match ALMOST PERFECT i was amazed

but i wouldnt recommend 1 3/4 long tubes because they dont match the 185 at all they are HUGE compared to them go 1 5/8

the guy where i went for my dyno session put his car on while i was there and it was a home built 331 with AFR 185's, edelbrock rpm II and F 303 cam. had short tube headers. It made 370HP and similar torque.

I saw him at the track this last weekend with the same car and had a hundred shot of nitrous, gears, and slicks and was running 11.2's

Paul I always heard that too but I just put one on a 331 (8.2 deck 302, 0 deck, stock AFR 58cc 185's, .039" thick gasket) with AFR185's and it matched really nice, I was expected the total opposite. Repling to your e-mail right now...

I own one and personally think it's too small for a 347!!

Trickflow R, Victor Jr. or even Systemax would be my choice, specially if sc.

But that's just my opinion!!!!

Depends on the rpm range you use it in. I think it's fine for apps less than 6,000 rpm or so. For anything above that, then look to a shorter/bigger section. What rpm do buzz yours Allmotor95?
