anyones car whistle without a blower or turbo?

i noticed when i go about 80- 90mph my car whistles, my friend's cars also do this, i was told its the K&N air filter i have, also my car has a stock motor without the stock air box, my friend's cars have cobra intakes with the same filter i have an theres do it to, does anyone elses car do this?

My car whistles at part throttle, something to do with the BBK tbody... 80-90 mph is pretty fast to hear a whistle coming from the engine, you sure its not coming from air rushing into the car(old weather stripping)

It's not as much of a whistle noise as it is a sucking/drawing air noise. It's the K&N. At part throttle you can hear the air being sucked across the K&N. Pretty cool sound...

yeah wait till you get a a new TB and a cold air kit....it will whistle more....you will be able to give the gas a quick stab and hear the intake suck in the air...sounds GREAT

mine's done it even more after i installed my GT40 intake, 76mm MAF and new K&N. Its a lot louder. Almost makes me scared that it could be a vacuum leak.

My car whistles at 3/5 tb, like sssssssss , and I have goodyear gatorback belt ,and that belt make noise like blower

At idle, my car absolutely howls. It's the engine trying so hard to pull air past the closed throttle body . If you have your head under the hood and you blip the throttle to WOT, the initial rush of air is loud enough to make your ears hurt .

Yup, mine has the whistling sound too. I notice it more when a friend is driving and I have the window down while riding in the passenger side.

yeah, mine does too. it did it when i removed the air silencer & even more so now that i have a cai

Mine whistles too. It did it even more after the TB install. Its mostly in the 2k-4k rpm range.

Yeah my friend asked if I had a blower when he heard the air going through the K&N on top of one of my accecories that sounds like a faint blower whine. I think it's the power steering pump, and it's probably a bad thing, lol. Too bad the car is way slower than it sounds
