AOD high presure on test port on neutral and park, please help?

Gentlemen, any ideas as of why the preasure on the test port of the AOD is high on park and neutral? (we tried the helper spring with no luck), it seems to fall within range in the other gears, my challenge is that the transmission does not shift up/down right hence i am adjuzting the TV cable, this is a 1992 5.0L HO/AOD that we droped into our 1972 Mach1.
