Just a few questions for thought. Putting an AOD in the mach 1. Just wondering a few things as I go. Like. What is the yoke I will need, is there a new part available. Is there a driveshaft length that will work or wait until the rearend is in and the transmission in. Just any AOD reference will help. thanks John

I;m going to see if the AOD yoke has the same bearings as the 68' in mine.
if not, you should[/] be able to find a shop in the area that can cut down and weld on your old driveshaft. That way the front has the right yoke for the AOD, and the rear has the right yoke for the rear diff.
although its very possible that the old yoke and the AOD yoke are the same. I'm finding out this weekend

the cheapest mount out there that i could find was still in the $100 range...eh...too much.
I made a template for mine, and one afternoon, some 1/4" steel and a welder and i have a tranny mount for ~$20 at the most.

thats not correct,
the AOD transmission mount location is ~2" further backwards (towards the rear) than the C-4. Also the C-4 Mount it too narrow to accommodate the wider AOD.
Don't understand how you made a transmission mount with some 1/4" steel and a welder for ~$20, most of them use a rubber mount of some type,
now if you meant a transmission crossmember than that is my plan.Thanks, need to get that and the lokar bracket for the TV cable and I'll be about ready to tackle this project.
When I pulled a trans out of a early 90's fox body it looked like that. I was going to use it but heard that the T-5 yoke was stronger and went this route.
