I was driving home from Buffalo Wild Wings last night, I was on the freeway in OD running like 2400rpm with cruise control on. All on its own fourth became a second neutral. Also the car no longer wanted to downshift when coming to a stop, it's an auto with a stock cam and it literally would've stalled had I not put it in neutral when I came to a stop light. The car will downshift in kickdown situations though. The TV cable seems to be fine, aside from that I'm transmission illiterate and would appreciate any help.

I would start by checking to make sure the throttle valve cable is adjusted correctly ..If you have a haynes manual it will show you how to do it ...then get under the car and make sure your trans linkage hasnt slipped and misadjusted itself and that the throttle valve cable hasnt come off its little ballstud...if its none of those move on to the cruise control and check that system out...hope that helped...
