AOD output yoke damper needed?

Hi all,

1 year ago I had my driveshaft rebalanced due to vibration after changing to 3.73 gears. The driveshaft shop removed the harmonic balancer on the AOD output yoke and balanced the driveshaft. Well, that seemed to help with the vibration. Now I have noticed a little wear on my AOD output yoke spline and sometimes it clunks. I have checked the rearend and U-joints and they are tight. Is an AOD output yoke with damper required? If so where can I get a new one?

I heard clunking too.. Then it clunked and vibrated at about 55+ mph....

I checked my u-joints and they seemed tight... Be careful

The I believe the wear was caused by something else, not the loss of the damper.

Yikes, looks like yours just ran out of lube. Mine were replaced with HD new U-Joints when it was balanced.
