Hey I have a 93 5.0 LX with an AOD tranny...I just bought it about a month ago and it has seemed to do fine but the other day on the interstate around 65-70 mph the OD started to slip just all of a sudden, I immediately shifted to drive and it does perfect...There's no hesitation when shifting into gears, no change when the tranny is cool, warm, etc... It works fine up to around 40 mph when left in overdrive, any advice?

Overdrive band is probably burned out. You could pull the pan and look for shavings/burnt fluid and other signs, but my bet's on the OD band being fried - usually the weak link on AOD/AODE/4R70W trannies.

Save for a rebuild, or start scouring the eBay/Craigslist ads and/or local boneyards for a used AOD, buy two ramps and two jackstands, a tranny jack, and save yourself a LOT of money by doing the swap, yourself. This would also be an ideal time to invest in a quality torque converter and a shift kit, since you'll have all of that apart, anyway.
