AOD Question

Yeah an AOD from any mustang will fit. Check out www.becontrols.com for a wealth of info on ford auto trannys. If you plan on modding the car I would look into putting a shift kit, and larger OD servo at a minumum. OD is the weak link in the AOD the larger servo give a better clamping force on the OD band thus making it last longer. I just fried OD in my 93 and am gonna end up doing a nice build up on it so.

I thought that I read somewhere the the early AODs weren't the greatest and if possible to choose a later model year. But if it the 87 is free then I would take it.
