this is in my other quart capacity thread, but i think the title doesnt match the problem.....
new problem now....i got the trans all in running good and when i put in reverse all was well for 5mins then the line started leaking...i lost about 4-8ounces until i tunrd off the car... it seems that my fittings are shot!!!the two of them are leaking not at the threads but at like were the flare is/shoul be??? it only leaks when there is pressure.
i dont know what im gonna do....these were the stock fitting...and the ones that came with the junkyard one are a little different(seems to better design)...but the only solution i though of was to cut the old fitting off and use the junk fittings and join the pipe with fuel hoses and clamps???? but its to close to the exhaust?? and will probably melt??? i cant find nothing online about the complete lines??? so what to do>>>

ps. i also put in a high stall 2k-2.6k and everything works all gears shift,i only have the dripping lines.....
but i get this sound equivalent to a worn out or low fluid PSterring Pump whining/grinding only about 2x louder!??? (almost like a electrical buzz on a transformer) could it be my stall??? it only does it randomly no pattern to the noise or length of the noise. and it seems that it doenst do it while in D only in P....??!?!?!???!?!?!?!
ahhhh so close to getting to run......

Put your original case fitting on the junkyard trans. You have two fittings. A case fitting and a cooling line fitting. If the line leaks from where the line goes into the cooling line fitting itself then the flare is bad. Its 5/16 line. Go to the parts store and buya peace os 5/16 metal brake line. Cut your old and replace it with the new. Also buy a 5/16 compression fitting to connect the lines together. DO NOT USE RUBBER FUEL LINE for a transmission line. Yhe trans fliud will soften the rubber line up and it will start to leak again. Auto parts sells the right rubber hose for trannys.

The noise your hearing is either the trans pump or the converter. Make sure its not low on fluid.

ok well the tranny is about 2-4 quarts low....so hopefully the noise will go away. i was just worried cause it was loud and comes from the front/trq converter part of the tranny. and i put the torque converter in!!!

i think im just gonna cut the lines i have and put new fittign with a flare tool ...that would work but i have to flare it good so it just doesn't do the same thing...

You have to do a double flare for the lines. Just go and buy a peice of 5/16 metal brake line and a 5/16 compression fitting and replace it. That is easier
