Aod transmission dipstick question

Alright so today I just drained the fluid from the pan and did the pan gasket when I went to fill up the transmission I added fluid into the dipstick and it just sat for a second didn't drain down and started to overfill when the funnel was raised is it possible that the dipstick can get clogged up with something?

I guess it is possible? Can you insert the dipstick all the way in? If you can, the tube is not blocked. The dipstick goes through the tube straight into the pan.

yeah it's all the way in and doesn't leak from the bottom at the beginning it took a little fluid and then like burped two air bubbles out

The guy at the local transmission shop thought it was the vent solenoid not letting air out
