AOD TV cable adjustment

alright i did the adjustment cause it felt like it was way off.

now im wondering how do i know if its done right, because i followed the instructions but didnt do it like the way dealer would do it with the trans line pressure gauge.

but the adjustment i did was pull the plastic piece all the way out then mark it and 5/16 inch is min. mark. then put the adjuster lil more than half way. and it shifts fine now, my question is will my trans get damage, and is my transmission life going to be shorted because i didnt use the pressure Gauge method?

No your trans will be fine. But your not supposed to pull it all the way. You have to have someone else get in the car and push the pedal full throttle then make your mark. If you just pull it you might be going too far for the initial mark.

oh cool ya i get what your sayin, ill try and re-adjust it while someone else push the pedal fully.
