Built high stall AOD here coming from a T-5 and I love it, its not boring at all, its quicker, shifts harder and there is nothing more fun than matting it for a nice downshift!

5 speed

For the fun factor: stick only!
IMO:Track- Stick

For daily driver: Automatic. LOW HP. LOW EVERYTHING. SLOW. Anything good all year around including Bad Snow. I dont need to have fun with a daily driver or fast.

I don't think i'd want a 5 speed for a daily driver unless it was a Mustang or some other performance car. My Cherokee is an auto and i'd hate it if it were a 5 speed. But, i don't race my Cherokee

I have had the auto DD and the stick DD... Personally more times than not I prefer the stick. Sure when you tired or its late or your in traffic sometimes an auto is nice, but I feel it keeps me more alert and gives me something to do driving the stick.

Ill snag my sisters 94 GT which is an auto or the moms 02 Impreza sometimes, but the truth is, I prefer stick almost all the time.

And if it wasnt for standards I wouldnt have my driving reputation or fastest pass in nearly every car I have raced!

I'm having built an auto to replace my stocker (it's still alive!) with a high stall and manual valve body, and can't wait to romp it. A friend of mine has one similar, and we've been sideways and tractionless in 2nd. If that doesn't sound fun to you, I dunno what to tell ya

I've grown fond of my Stang being an auto, but for years I debated on whether I was going to swap to a stick or just build a heavy duty automatic.

I've been daily driving my stang for 50000 miles (3 1/2 years) and its no big deal to me. I get in an automatic and it feels like theres something missing. I like how you have total control of the car with a stick. I've saved myself from alot of accidents just from my car being stick. But when I do finally get out of college, I will be purchasing my dream car, a silver 04 Marauder so I guess the auto will have to do.
