AOD vs C-4 ???

Heres the deal. I own an 88 Ford Ranger that is currently being upgraded with a 93 Cobra Spec motor. It currently has an AODfrom a Mustang in it but I know that this sucks a lot of power as is shown by my weak numbers in my 95 GT complete with AODE. Anyways, How difficult would it be to swap the AOD for a C4? We did the engine swap by ourselves so a tranny swap couldnt be that bad could it??? Thanks!

Not that hard at all if you use the 164 tooth flex plate and bell housing. Everything pretty much just bolts up. You can use the stock cross member and everything mounts in the same location as the aod. You will have to run a different shifter obviously but thats an easy task as well. I'm sure someone will pop up on here and give you some more specific information than I did. Go for it thought, you'll love it. I cant wait to put mine in my stang......
