Well I'm in week 2 of trying to put together a swapp kit myself.I'm spending the extra money and buying mostly new stuff except for a few items(computer, pedals, harness). It's going pretty well so far and it look's like the kit is gonna cost me like $3000.The total includes new TKO 500,Alum driveshaft,Steeda adj clutch cable kit & king cobra clutch kit and all the other small parts so the price doesnt seem so bad.I also got a Bassani bx x pipe and a Bassani cat back which looks killer just sitting in the box.The car is also goin to Larrocas on wed. for a coplete rear rebuild with 3:73's so as you guy's could imagine I'm pretty excited.I'm gonna start the swapp in about 2 weeks so I'll use this post to keep everyone updated on how it's going and by that time I'll be posting pics so that will help.I'm also keeping a detailed list with part#'s and prices in case anyone else ever wants to do the same swapp.Im having trouble finding a pedal assy at a decent price (125 seems to high) also a computer is tough to get too.I keep getting screwed at the last second on e-bay so if anyone know's a place where I can get these parts please let me know.I have a couple of question that I wanted to post up hopefully you guy's can help me out. These r the first of many.
1)Do I need a special clutch fork for the TKO.I have the special TKO bellhousing and the end of the fork that stick's out of the side rubs on the sides of the opening in the bellhousing.
2)I was told that the correct driveshaft for my application is the one that fits 96-98 Cobra's so thats the one I ordered.Do I need a spacer for this?
