The following info was sent to me. If you are not busy, might wanna check it out. I am assuming they will be meeting locally for a nice cruise out there...Bill I would expect you to make this one.

Cory - I have been contacted by the Power Ford dealership in Newport on
the coast to bring as many Mustangs as I can to their Loyalty Days
parade on April 30th. This parade has for many years been dominated by the
Corvette club. They bring about 100 cars to the parade every year.
This really pisses off the local Ford dealership. They dont have enough
Mustangs at the coast to put on a show of force against the Corvettes.
So they contacted the Mustang Wranglers to see if we could muster up
enough Mustangs. First let me share what they want to do for us. They
want us to come to their parade on Saturday, April 30th and stage by
10:00am. After the parade (this is where it gets good) they are going to
clear off the dealership lot and they are going to put on a Mustang
show for those that were in the parade. They are going to give out first
place trophys for best 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's 2000's Mustang, best
convertible, best modified, best of show and peoples choice. In a!
ddition to the trophys, they are giving out dash plaques and goody
bags to everyone. To top it off , they are also providing lunch for
everyone. Heres the best part. It is free, no entry fee. All we have to
do is buy the gas and show up. I am only able to muster up 70 cars.
(This is a rain or shine event). Alot of my club cars dont even insure
their cars until the sun comes out. But 70 cars is alot. But it is
not enough to shut up the Corvettes. I would like to invite you and your
(shall I use the word "club") group to come and share this event with
us. We are always reaching out to other clubs in the Pacific Northwest
because I believe that joint events help strengthen the Mustang Hobby
as a whole and is good for everyone. I would hope that this could be
the first of many events that could bring our club and your group closer
in the future. I need to know how many cars you can pony up by April
15 so they can order enough dash plaques and lunches. Post this o!
ffer on Stangnet and lets see how many Ponies we can rally aga!
inst the
Corvettes. Looking forward to hearing from you . "Cobra Dave" -
President - Mustang Wranglers of Oregon.

Cory posted the details from Dave. Anyone who has questions can contact me. If I don't have the answer, I'll track down Dave.

The price is as good as it gets. The only request is to let us know so we can make sure the dealership will have enough free food, etc..... So, bring out the stangs.

Hey cory, I am gonna try to make it, no promises though...trying to get off a few days to go...might trailer my car.

trailer your car? Dame man, might be quite a gas bill...might be better if you fly up and go with Ed.

I would love to cruise out there, but the work gods have me back on the plane for Japan before this starts...

The recent cost spike of premium gas will probably prohibit me from going. Between insurance, car payment, gas and all the recent mods I've recently done, aka $$$, I think I'm confined to daily commuter travel only, and some local cruising only for now. :nonono:

have not talked to the wife yet but if enough people are going I might go even if she does not want to. would every body want to caravan down and come in force or just show up  we could meet up at spirit mountain casino :nice: any thoughts
