Are 3.73 gears worth the money?

I want to know if you can really feel a differance with these gears, i plan to put power adder on soon so i dont want to get 4.10s, so is 3.73s worth it?

Does it matter? You have already ruled out 4.10's. Many run 4.10's even with a supercharger. There are already enough gear threads on the subject. I am sure you can find them in the search.


If you don't want to search...yes they are a waste of money.

100% worth the money. I felt a big difference over stock gears and 3.73s are perfect when going FI.

best bang for buck,if your going with a pd blower(Kb,saleen,whipple etc) you will want 3:73's. I have heard the centri guys are happy with 4:10's

i was thinking about switching over to 4.10s before i got my spray but now im glad i didnt way way too much torque and i wouldnt be able to keep up with it lol.

4.10's are worth the money, 3.73's aren't even if you are blown. Don't fear the gear. Even NA I hated 3.73's in my old 2V and swapped to 4.10's.

Yep, they're worth it. I recently had to go back to a 3.27 gear and what a difference.

i love mine...i drove a 03 gt with 4.10;s and it was awful...to much gear....1st gear was not even worth having

You could even gear back further that that with a PD blower. My car breaks them loose at 70km/h with the 3.73's and I'm running a 4R70W with 27" tires all the way around and about 600-700lbs more car than the Mustang guys.

The 3.73 gears was one of the last mods I have done. To be honest I was little disappointed in the results. But I went to 31 slpine axles and diff at the same time so it didn't coat extra to put them in, since I was in there anyway
