Are 84 351W head bolts torque-to-yield?

Are the head bolts that come on the 351 engines torque to yield bolts? Just wondering if I can reuse them ?

I'd say get some ARP's and you'd be better off. I'm not sure if in '84 they were using torque to yield or not.

No, they're not torque to yield. Only heads that are aluminum require torque to yield bolts.

Are you sure man? I mean the 85-93 mustang have torque to yield bolts and they have the E7 heads

to my knowledge all OEM head bolts, main cap bolts, flywheel bolts are torque to yield.

whether it has aluminum or cast iron heads is irrevelant.

Like someone else mentioned buy some ARPs. They are not torque to yield, so they can be reused
