I bought an used bbk h-pipe off a good friend, but the hangers are broken off. I hear of people with custom exhaust not using them, so can I forget about it, or do i have to rig it up some wire clamps and some coat hanger
before my pro chamber, I never had any either, and that's on three H pipes. With them on, my PC does sit a bit tighter to the car, but you should be fine.
you dont need them on a non-cat h-pipe but with a stock 4 cat h-pipe I would recommend using them. They take alot of stress off the headers and muffler mounts.
I dont have'em now but i used them on my '88 GT. I dont think they're necessary, but if they're there i'd use'em even though it's a total PITA to get them in.
A trick to get them up higher is to get the h-pipe on and have the header bolts and mufflers bolts on put lose. Then take a floor jack and put it under the h-pipe and raise it up then tighten the bolts up good and problem solved worked real good for my mac off road h pipe.
P.S. You might have to make adjustments after you lower the car dont put it up too high cause then it might rub against the driveline.
