OE Ford 24#ers are Blue with gray bodies. I think Mark 8's and 460's came with these with an F2 part number on them.

There is also a ford racing version that is the same shade of blue but with black bodies.

I forget who made these injectors. Bosch or Denso. I've also seen aftermarket injectors (Accel for instance) that don't follow the typical color convention and are completely black.

Don't get me wrong, There are CAI's that do work. The Anderson Motorsports PowerPipe is probably one of the best right now. The old Morpheus/AFM Power pipe was another good one.

If i were to buy one now, i'd probably get one of these. Not cheap though.

But alas, i'm part of the stock Airbox + K&N panel club.
Worth it for Anderson power pipe on a fox with stock motor ? Does have no cat x pipe and flowmaster 44s. All 2.5 inch pipe going back.

Nope. Until you are moving more air than that stock airbox, MAF, throttle body and associated piping can handle it is a solid waste of time and money. The stock airbox gets the air from the inner fender so its not like any CAI is getting air from a different location. Do I have a CAI on my car? Yes, but it take a lot more aire than what the stock stuff could provide. I would say that once you do a HCI swap a quality CAI will benefit the motor.

I’ve found this AEM one that no one has really mentioned the review of after install. I’d say it looks cooler than stock box and if it didn’t hurt anything, I may go with it.

So with the filter element in the engine bay you can experience fan wash (do a search) which causes fits for the MAF.

Here is my setup

Car it tuned and that is an 80mm MAF from a 2000 or 2001 GT.

That is a HOT air intake, fine if you're just try'n to look cool but with the MAF and filter together like that it's also know to cause issues with the MAF readings.

K&N are great filters, I put over a half million miles on one in the dump truck, started out being a money saving thing and the hope of better fuel mileage, the better mileage never happened but the money saved was enormous, now you likely won't notice anything with a stock setup, just monitor and change/clean filter often, don't 'really' matter as long as keep it clean.
Let me add, the K&N filters got a bad rap in the beginning due to the oil travelling up and into the MAF sensor, we know what that does, but I believe it's was more user error, they just either used too much or didn't let it 'setup' long enough. JMO.
500,000+ miles on a 7.3 turbo and the intake had no sign of filter oil and a 7.3 turbo at full song will suck your hand off the end of your arm......
