Are pinion snubbers any good?

While looking at rearend stuff at Jegs I noticed that CE and Proform both make a pinion snubber for the rearend that is suppose to stop wheel hop. I presume you buy 2 and mount each on the ends of the axle housings where the stock ones are. Do these work? I need to get traction in the rear. Right now I have BBK upper and lowers, new bushings and lowering springs but no traction. I was thinking of adjustable uppers, spherical upper bushings, pinion snubbers and 50/50 drag shocks in the rear. Does this sound like it would work?

Hmmm

The pinion snubber is located in the tunnel and is basically the bump stop for the front of the axle.
The bump stops out at each side only limit the travel of the axle up. The pinion snubber does the same thing with the front of the axle pumpkin. The reason to change them is to keep the nose of the axle from twisting up too much. With a lowered vehicle you need to install a shorter snubber to keep it from bottoming out...

Jegs says you can use them us slapper bars and to stop wheel hop.

Car Craft had an article on those adjustable pinion snubbers quite some time ago. There's actually quite a bit that goes into making them work right, i.e. setting pinion angle. Kind of a complicated topic if you're not an expert (which I'm not, LOL). I know with tractionally challenged cars like yours, that you would be doing yourself a favor in getting the pinion angle set correctly and adding a snubber.

Well I just ordered adjustable uppers, and lakewood 50/50 rear drag shocks. I already have lower control arms, and lowering springs. If all this doesnt fix my problem, I dont know what will. I've heard you can keep standard lower control arms and just get adjustable uppers to set the pinion angle.
