Guess what. I say this same neon on the street last night. This time he wasn't yelling though. It turns out that he has a charger and when he wanted me to follow him the other night it was because he wanted to pick it up. It turns out that his neon did have a 55 shot on it and he said it runs 13's. Whatever. I really don't care. It was still an annoying neon that looked and sounded like crap.

i totally agree that some idiots deserve a name that is less than flattering. but why does it have to be ethnicly based? why not just call them losers, dumbasses, or better yet posers because that is what they really are.

i understand that most people using the term don't mean anything racial, but it is based on a derogetory meaning. just like the term "ni@@er rigging" was first used to desribe doing something half assed, but because of its conotations it has been changed to jerry rigging or something like that, depending on the region. I know most people don't care, it's just one guys humble opinion

the really sad part is the car that this thread was started for was an american built car. so has it spread to any performance based 4 banger. do they all fall into the "ricer" catagory, because i'm sure the early 80's svo guys would love to know that they are now to "ricey" because what they drive doesn't have enough cylinders.

I would have to argue a Neon R/T and any Neon other than an SRT4 is an economy based car. Performance is non existent in those POS's.
