Are Roush Side Skirts Supposed To Look Like This???

pics would help us understand what you mean.

urethane is pretty flimzy and thin. they shouldnt have to do much bodywork, a little sanding, primer then paint should be it.

they will get stronger when mounted to the car.

they do feel little flimzy when they are just by itself. But once you attatch them to the car(i used 3M Tape all along the top side, then held down by black sail panel that says "Mustang" on it. Then 2 bolts on each wheelwall, and used like 6 snap bolts on bottom, and 1 steel bolt that also hold exhaust hanger), and after that, its pretty steady. They do move little, but you want that as side MAY hit speed bump, and it would give rather then brake like OEM one do.
See the attatched pic. Yellow Dots are franged bolts. Green are plastic tabs, red are tape, blue is metal Bolt, and white are plastic strip.

Rousch Exhaust

I'm getting ready to do some serious mods on my 04 Mustang Convertible. I am putting on a Roush body kit and side exhaust. My question is can I go ahead and change the X-Pipe and Headers, I don't think there will be a problem with this using a side exhaust but I'm checking. Secondly I want to use a straight X-Pipe (off road use) with no CAT on it....I know this might not be exactly legal but is there any chance of anyone finding out? IE will I get caught during bi-annually plate registration?

Secondly what is the cost of a GOOD body shop to install, prime, and paint this material and set it up?

My kit(from Stage3motorsports) was an excellent quality.
What i did was befor i took it to bodyshop to paint(which quoted me $400), I prefitted the kit. which was almost sopt on, other then few spot. I sanded down with 1200grid(it really was miner tweeking i need to make it fit perfect), and degreased it,befor dropped it off at bodyshop.
It took them 3 days to paint, and they told me that it was soooooo easy, and needed almost no work(only thing they did was fill the 2 dimple on front bumper for lisence plate), and came out great. It was so easy, infact, instead of charging me $400 like they said, they charged me $200, that include prep, paint, flex additive and all. And I installed it myself. You do not need to have bodyshop to do install if you can change your own oil. its that easy. there are several website that show you how to on bumper install, and side and rear are pretty much selfexplanetry

And as fat as mid pipe and header goes, yes you can replace them. Way side exhause it set up, it bolt on to stock hanger and stock mid pipe. Its just like normal catback, 'cept it come out to side.

BUT I would think twice about spending almost $800 on Roush/Magnaflow ehxuast. Their muffler is no louder then stock(mine is enhanced too), and if you want that "mustang sound", you might want to look in to Spintech 323SCS instead

get the Spintech 333SCS muffler(2 of em with 2.5" inlet/outlets) or the 323SCS(which is a 2.25" diameter inlet/outlet if you wanna stay stock sizes) and have a exhaust shop weld them up and run pipe to the side. you can do side exit for 200 bucks and sound badass, rather than spend 850 for roush's crap markup and sound like a stock mustang. thats what i did, and the roush guys around here hate me.

and yes, you can go ahead and replace the H-pipe now. the aftermarket ones will use the same flange and mount locations, so its basically a bolt on affair, and ill not affect the catback/side exit exhaust placement later down the road.
