I was wanting to know if Magnaflow's Magnapack system and SLP's LoudMouth system are similar at all. They are both resonator sysems, are they not? Do they have the same volume and tone, or are they total opposites. Thanks.

SLP makes your car sounds loud, obnoxious, and exactly like a LS1....

The magnaflows are much quieter, but their sound is awesome. W/ my o/r x-pipe, I absolutely love it.

I have a 94GT with the stock h-pipe and the slp loudmouth on it. I think it sounds like an old musclecar. Its far from obnoxious with the stock H. My buddy tried it on a 04 GT with a off-road X and it sounded loud and irritating though. And that's all I have to say about that.

I have the SLP loudmouth cat-back with a pro-chamber and believe me it soulds nothing like an LS-1 dude. The magnaflows are really quiet. The SLP is loud but when you take off everyone knows you mean business. If I could do it all over again I would have still got the SLP's they wont bust your eardrums but will definately get you noticed.

i think ur confusing the regular catback and the magnapacks, they are complete opposites, the magnapacks are quite loud as it is a bullit race type style muffler, looking like nothing else but a resonator

magnapacks are a race style straight through muffler. i think its 4 inch round style... pretty much a glorified glass pack with a better casing and better packing.

the slp is not a muffler and running just a resonator sucks IMO...with stock heads anc cam.

are you wanting loud and obnoxious? go with either one. you want smooth and deep look into the magnaflow borla or bassani. it has removeable baffles so you can control your loudness.

Magnapacks are loud, but they definitly dont sound bad. My friend has one on his 98 cobra with an O/R X. I know its a different motor but it sounds great. From my experience SLP is kinda tinny and annoying.

Just my opinon here for whatever its worth, 2 of my buddies have SLP Loudmouth on their stangs one is a 4.6 and one is a 5.0 I think they both sound horrible. Too loud and popy if ya ask me sounds too much like straight pipes. I dunno you may like this sorta sound but I dont. They should stay on camaros not mustangs Stick with offroad xpipe and some 40 series flows
