Are Sway-Bars a waste of money?

I am putting Tokico Illuminas, and lowering springs on my 02 GT this weekend, or next. I was thinking that Eibach, front and back sway bars would be another good handling upgrade, but I dont know if they would be $250 better than stock. The drop will only be 1.25" to 1.5" and road course driving is my only concern as far as handling. Whats your oppinion?

I'm sure they would have some advantage over the stocks ones probably being more stiff

I put them on my car when I put the pro kit on so I can't say that they made a huge impact on handling by themselves but just by looking at them in comparison to the stock units I can't help but think they did.

sway bars are always one of the best things to upgrade on a car. You will notice the difference.

Usually aftermarket ones are like three times the diameter of the skinny ass stock ones.

You should research the topic, no replys in this thread really explained sway bars correctly. They arn't the type of thing where more is always better, you want what is right fro your setup. Mostly depends on the under/oversteer characteristics your trying to fix.

I've got the Steeda tubular front sway bar on mine. Major weight savings over the solid steel stock unit. I didn't notice any improvement in handling but, I did notice a couple of rattles in the front dash disappeared after it was on. I didn't change out the rear sway bar because I have Steeda control arms and didn't see the need to.

I'm still debating on that too.. it seems that the adjustable rear control arms are less expensive than the heavy duty ones?
