At my new place in San Diego the housing community nazi's won't let us work on cars where we can park them even though it's right in front of our place. Are there places like a jiffylube or such that will do brake bleeds? I checked some sites but didn't see it listed as a service. Should i just go to an empty parking lot and do it? lol

I found a place that quoted me $49, Ima drive on over there and talk to them see if they're competent. Although it doesn't take a rocket scientist.

BTW: all these place are automotive repair n such, i called places like chevron/valvoline/jiffy and none of them touch brakes.

I suggest you go find a buddy around you that has a house by you and do it there, or does the entire state of commiefornia don't want americans to work on their cars...

i don't know what your problem w/ california is, but i lived here for 20 years and had no problem working on my car untill i moved to SD and into a townhouse community w/ rules. Every state has communities like this, not just Cali. And since i just moved here, i dont have a friend w/ a driveway/house. And being as though we're all college student's that'd be pretty rare

just do it in front of your house....VERY quickly...then if they ask about it..say "that wasnt me"

I wont be able to get to my front caliper w/out jacking up the car and using stands. That's a lil obvious.

I already got it done, $41. And the guys were pretty cool. The response increase i noticed right away. Definitely needed it. He said it was mainly moisture, because there wasn't any air (go me for doing it almost 3 years ago + no air)

everyone has a problem with cali. I ****ing hate this place, if it wasnt for having the best paying jobs id GTFO!

however you are living in a community with rules against working on cars, most gated communities or complex's have the same rules. IMO i think its utter and complete bull****, and should be abolished. However if its a apartment complex or you are renting i could see the point. if you own a house in a community and you signed the agreement then you are retarded. i would never sign that agreement.

We had the residential nazi's come by when we were at a buddies house working on his car, they told us to stop, we told them to **** off, they threatened to tow, we threatened to beat their ass. the homeowner came out (Buddies dad) and was like "I never signed ****, this is my house, my property, they can work on anything they want, **** off or i am calling the cops and they can haul the bodies away." they never said a word after that, left and never came back again.

Well it was either sign the rental agreement after being approved for the place, or not have a place to live anywhere near the college. We didn't sign the rules, but we were given the rules after signing the lease. They are supper detail nazi's. Apparently previously the neighbors had complained about 3 or so blinds being bent sideways in the window while no one was even living here. If we get complaits they are sent to our land lord, so it's not like i have much of a choice.
BTW: it's a townhouse, so it's a 2 story house w/ covered parking in front of it, but next to other parking spaces that are usually empty. And 6 guest parking spaces that are always open that i could do the work in - but can't. I think im pushing it as it is just washing my car in these parking spaces, lol.
