I am building a 393 stroker for my '86 and picked up a set of new AFR205 heads dirt cheap, damn near a steal, $1,200. Since I was able to do this, I could make some money if I sold them (for about $1,700) if I could find some heads that are better. I am keeping this all motor, no power adders because I'm going to be using a stock block. However, I want to get everything out of this engine that I can naturally aspirated. I wouldn't want to spend more than $2,000, though.

just keep the afr's and only run 5 lbs of boost you will like it! :nice:

I've seen in the latest MM&FF a comparison between the AFR 205's and the new Trick Flow CNC Twisted Wedge heads and the CNC Twisted Wedges made more power all across the board so if you do sell the AFR's get some CNC Twisted Wedges.

Look into some Brodix, Victor Jr.'s, Canfield's, Trick Flow R's, or World Products. I am pretty sure you can get all these heads with atleast 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves. Some are pedastal, some stud mount. Some are 7/16" head bolt, some are 1/2".
